Default Excel prompts me to save a copy or overwrite file.

I am using Excel 2002 in Windows XP Professional. While saving a file, I am
always prompted to either "Save a copy" or "Overwrite changes". I find this
extremely annoying and would like to save my files without excel prompting
these questions!
