Default Prep for pivot table

Hello. I'm trying to get about 9000 lines of data into a pivot table, but unable to do so as I'm not sure of the function to use. The layout of the data is as follows:

ID # (Column A) Column B Column C Column D
ID 12222 1/1/2010 Test type 1 $15.00
Blank Blank Test type 2 $16.00
Blank Blank Test type 3 $17.00
ID 12223 1/14/2010 Test type 1 $15.00
Blank Blank Test type 4 $21.00
Blank Blank Test Type 2 $16.00
Blank Blank Test type 3 $17.00
ID 12224.....

So basically I would like to fill in the blanks with the appropriate ID # and dates from above so I can run a pivot table of all 9000 lines. Currently I cannot do that because of the blank lines. The # of blank lines differs between ID #s because there are different # of tests for each ID#. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
