Linking text cells between 2 worksheets

try your formula like this..... =IF(sheet1!B6="","",sheet1!B6) this would not produce a zero on sheet 2 but would carry data to sheet 2 if data exist on sheet 1 in the corresponding cell. regards FSt1 "Malcolm" wrote: I tried this before but explained my problem so badly I did not get the response I was looking for, so let me try again. Both of these attempts work if text is entered into the cells of the source sheet, but if any of the cells in the source sheet are left blank, and some are, the destination sheet displays a 0 in the corresponding cells. Since the cells in these columns are text the zeros are not wanted. I can delete the zeros from the destination sheet, but then I would have to reenter the formula the next time text needed to be inputted into the cells. Is there a work around for this?
