In cell F 8 I have:-

In cell I 8 I have:-

=MID(F8,3,LEN(F8))

The above formula returns 12456 in cell I 8. Why?

I know that MID, €œreturns a specific number of characters from a text
string, starting at the position you specify, and based on the number of
characters you specify€�.

I know that LEN, €œreturns the number of characters in a text string€�.

What I dont understand is how the MID feeds into the LEN and / or vice
versa.
