Default Operation requires the merged cells to be identically sized

hi
merged cells.
the error message you received sez it all.
pre-format the new sheet with the merged cells and you might be able to do it.
key word....might....
personal opinion...(extreme i admit) merged cells are about the dumbest
thing xl developers ever came up with. the only thing that it does is make
the sheet look "pretty?" but it screws everything else up.
as you have discovered.
get rid of the merged cells and your problems will "mysteriously" go away.

funny about that.
