Hi,
=SUMPRODUCT((A1:A20="Candidate")*(B1:B20="A")) In practice it's best to use a cell reference for the name and vote =SUMPRODUCT((A1:A20=C1)*(B1:B20=B1)) Mike "Renegade" wrote: I need a formula that will add up the number of votes received by each candidate. Committee members will designate their vote by rating the candidate with either an A or B, and I want to be able to apply a formula that will provide the total of As or Bs each candidate has received. Any assistance that can be provided will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |
