Default need quick help averaging multiple rows

Hello, and thanks for reading. I am relatively new to Excel in the workplace
and need to find the answer for this as quickly as possible for a project I
am working on (due tomorrow!!!).

Basically, I have a worksheet with eight columns and about 2500 numbers
(rows) in each column. I need to have another column that is made of of the
average of the 8 columns for each row. I know there must be an easier way to
do this than to go down row by row and find the average of the 8 columns for
that particular row. Essentially, I need to find a way to turn the normal
average function =average(D3:K3) into a formula I can fill down a column
where the number (3 in this case) changes depending on the row it is inserted
to.

Is there any way to do this? I have well over two thousand rows and simply
dont have the time to insert the average function and change the row number
each time. I would be eternally grateful if anyone can help me with this.
Thanks sooo much!

Hi,

Enter you first average formula in L3 and then select the cell and double
click the fill handle (The little black box on the bottom right) and your
formula will automatically fill down as far as there are data in column K
with the row number auto incrementing.
