Hello,
I am using Excel 2003. I have a worksheet that contains a column of dates. Initially these were in the format dd-mmm-yy. I have converted the dates to text and now wish to export the spreadsheet as a CSV file. Unfortunately, possibly due to the limitations of CSV files, when I then reopen the worksheet in excel, the dates are automatically converted back to date format. I need to keep them in text format. Does anyone know how this export to csv could be done? Thanks in advance for your assistance. Ket London - UK |

Excel will convert the file contents on import, so what you see in Excel on
re-opening the file isn't necessarily what the file contains on disk. Open your CSV file in Notepad or another text editor & see if your dates appear there as text.
