Default Pecentage

I am working on a spreadsheet and I am trying to divide cell a1 (100,000) by
e5 (3,500) I got 28.57, but I want to change this to a percentage. When I
click on the percentage symbol I keep getting 2857%. I tried adjusting the
decimal places, and this doesn't work. I'm working in Excel 2007. Can
someone please help me? Thank you.

Hi

As a percentage, that is the correct answer, well 2857.14% to be precise to
2 decimal places.
I usually format the cells first with the percentage and number of decimal
places I want, then enter the calculation
