Default how do I set column headings up and down rather than across

I am doing an Excel spredsheet in the columns will be an "x" but the heading
are very wide, how can I make them go up and down rather than across. One of
the headings is "Portering/transfering Patients"

Default how do I set column headings up and down rather than across

Check out the options Orientation, Wrap text etc; available

Right clickFormat CellsAlignment tab
