How do I show cell formatting using paste link in Excel sheets?

Pasting a link creates a formula to retrieve a value from a different cell.

Formulas don't bring back formatting--they bring back values.

Default Paste Link function

Hi Al,

You can copy the format from one cell and paste the format to another cell
using paste special, format. However, if the formating changes from the
source cell - the updated formatting won't update.

If you want to maintain a cohesive style in your workbook, you should look
at using style in Excel
