When I click on the paste special menu like always it now brings up the
hyperlink menu (paste bitmap, etc.) rather than the paste special menu of (all, formulas, values, etc.). How do i get the correct menu back? Clipboard is clean. |

This is most likely due to the fact that your workbooks are opening in
separate instances. To confirm open the first workbook then open the second from the FILE-OPEN option from within Excel. You should not get the problem in this case. To fix try re-registering Excel...close XL first, then Start | Run | Type: regsvr32 /u Excel.exe ...and click OK regsvr32 Excel.exe ...and click OK You might have to designate a full path to Excel.exe. In that case...Start | Run | Type: C:\yourpath\excel.exe /regserver ...i.e. "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Excel.exe" /regserver You'll get the "Preparing to install" message and the "Please wait while configuring etc." "chanse44" wrote: When I click on the paste special menu like always it now brings up the hyperlink menu (paste bitmap, etc.) rather than the paste special menu of (all, formulas, values, etc.).
