Default count for multiple conditions in multiple columns

I have two columns of numbers and i want to count how many times both columns
have a nonzero number on the same row. What is the formula to do this?

XL-2007
=COUNTIFS(A1:A10,"<0",B1:B10,"<0")

All versions
=SUMPRODUCT(--(A1:A10<0),--(B1:B10<0))

=SUMPRODUCT((A1:A100<0)*(B1:B100<0))
