Default Locking data between worksheets

I have an excel 2003 worksheet (main) linked to several worksheets
(secondary).
I want to retain the actual values in the secondary worksheets whenever I
modify the primary/main worksheet. The links contains dates and whenever I
add/move/delete rows in the primary worksheet, the secondary worksheet mess
up the dates.

How can I protect the information so I can retain the data in linked cells?
