Default copy conditional format without using format painter

Hi,

I am looking to copy the conditional formatting of a cell into another cell
without copying any other formatting (eg borders). Neither Format painter
nor paste special/format allows me to do this.

Can anyone advise?

Thank you

Select the cell containing the Conditional Format you want to copy
CTRL-Click on the other cell (or range of cells such that source cell
remains seleceted)
Choose Format-Conditional Formatting
You will see the formatting already applied to the source cell
Click OK

Thanks Sheloo,

I forgot to specify that I'm trying to copy the conditional formatting
across different workbooks, and this suggestion doesn't hold across two
different worksheets or workbooks. Your suggestion does work for me with a
tedious workaround (ie. copying the data from the source workbook to a
section of the target workbook/worksheet then applying the action below), but
wondering if there's a better method?
