Default function does not calculate remain as =SUM(E9:E10)

All functions remain in text format and my worksheet does not calculate it. I
am on auto for calculate? A simple addition, a simple IF does not execute???

Check and make sure that the format of the cells containing the formula is
NOT text... change it to GENERAL.

If that does not help then make sure that there is no ' at the beginning of
the cell.

Finally press CTRL-` once...

` is on the key having ~, usually on the top left corner of the key board.
