I guess you you know about ctrl B and U
or you can use conditional formating to achieve.
For examaple you want to to type in Hello and the
spreed sheet wil automatically bold and underline

SO go to conditional formating on the styles tab.
Click conditional formating then new rule and then
select format cell that contain
one your inthere go to the drop down selct specific
text and a window comes up type the text you want to
automicaly format and the hit the format button and
do whatever you want color bold underline strike through ect.
repeat the process
Select yes is this helped

Hi,

You may use conditional formatting. This feature conditionally formats
based on user specified conditions.
