I'm attempting to add a trendline to a series of data points in Excell 2007.
But the trendline button is not highlighted and therefore not useful. Is
there a problem with the spreadsheet or has anybody encountered this and
knows of a fix?

What type of chart (XY/scatter; Line; column) ?
Can you give us some of the data you used?

Did you select the series first?

Hi,

Excel does not allow trendlines on certain chart types for example 3 D
charts, what type of chart are you using?

It is a line chart and yes a series was checked.
