I have a large spreadsheet (12 MB)
Having trouble with a tab: the cell on one tab is equal to the sum of three cells on another tab. The only way the cell will calculate is if I select it, and then hit F2 and enter. It will not recalculate using F9 (If I have the manual recalc on) And will not automatically recalc if the Manual recalc is off. Any suggestions? |

Just a suggestion and it may not work...
Select all the cells Edit|replace what: = (equal sign) with: = (same equal sign) replace all Excel will see that your formulas need to be reevaluated. And maybe it'll wake up excel! revdeacon wrote: I have a large spreadsheet (12 MB) Having trouble with a tab: the cell on one tab is equal to the sum of three cells on another tab. Hi,
There are three other shortcut keys to cause recalculation, see if any of these work: Shift+F9 Calculate active worksheet Ctrl+Alt+F9 Recalculates all open workbooks regardless of changes - Full recalc Ctrl+Alt+Shift+F9 Rechecks dependent formulas and then calculates all cells in all open workbooks, including cells not marked as needing to be calculated. If this helps, please click the Yes button Cheers, Shane Devenshire "revdeacon" wrote: I have a large spreadsheet (12 MB) Having trouble with a tab: the cell on one tab is equal to the sum of three cells on another tab. It appears to be working...thank you very much. I will let you know if I have
any other issues related to it. I am using the last option because some of my tabs are hidden.
