Default formula to make a running total for three different items

I have a column that i put in medicare, medicaid, or an insurance company name.
In the same worksheet i want a total of the following three things,
Medicare, medicaid and Insurances. I am looking for the total of each of
those three and what percent each is of the whole. .. .

Can anyone help me?

You can simply create a pivot table.
