Default Conditional formatting

I am using office 2007. I have created Pivot Table. Column A which is called
"Area" has a filed setting set up as "Automatic" as subtotal. Pivot has
columns from A thru F. I like to use conditional formatting to high light the
rows from A thru F where there is a sub total on the rows.

Default Conditional formatting

Hi,

1. Why not just use one of the built in PivotTable styles, the automatically
format the subtotal rows. With your cursor in the pivot table choose
PivotTable Tools, Design and open the PivotTable Styles drop down - there are
over 70 choices.

2 You can make your own custom styles, but its a fair amount of work - when
you open the PivotTable Styles drop down choose New PivotTable Style at the
very bottom.

3. Place your mouse to the left side of a subtotal row field and when the
mouse becomes a black right facing arrow click it. (for example suppose a
subtotal row for departments starts in cell B16, place the mouse on the
border between A16 and B16) When you click all the subtotal rows for
Department are selected. Now you can apply formatting manually.

If this helps, please click the Yes button.
