Default barcode scanner and excel

I'm trying (unsuccessfully) to add barcodes from asset tags into an Excel
spread sheet. I am using a bluetooth barcode scanner which is paired with my
laptop ok, but I cant get the data to import. I kow I need to set the
application to use the same COM port but can't find where to do it... any
ideas anyone?

you need to download a serial port to keyboard convertor piece of
software. They will take the input from the serial port and convert it
to keyboard entries. Metrologic have one you can download, i tried
this one a while ago and i am pretty sure it worked OK.
