Cannot empty the Clipboard
When doing a copy on a single cell I frequently get the error message Cannot
empty the Clipboard. Sometimes it repeats several times, other times just clicking on the cell again works. It doesn't matter whether the clipboard is empty or has data. |

Cannot empty the Clipboard
Does this only happen in Excel? What version of Windows are you using?
Try using Run command and typing clipbrd and see what you get (that is the clipbook viewer, although I'm not sure if has a different name in Vista). Also note that Office 2003 and Office 2007 each have an expanded clipboard that is managed by Office and not by Windows, so these version of Office may be related to the error. Another thing to note is the titlebar of the error message to see what application is actually firing the error.
