I am facing a strange problem in MS EXCEL. Whenever I open worksheets that
are linked to other worksheets, I get a message "This workbook contains one or more links that cannot be updated" and I get 2 options i.e. "Continue" & "Edit Links". However, once I select "Continue" ( since all my linked worksheets are on its place), the file gets updated without making any changes in the linked worksheets. What could be the cause for this problem & what can be the solution ? Pls provide the same as soon as possible. -- Regards, Dharmesh |

The problem is probably that your workbooks have been moved, renamed,
or deleted. Or worksheets in those workbooks. Or, you have a cell or two that have typos. You can try updating links to the proper workbooks, or finding typos. Or, muddan suggested turning off the warning. But that won't help if you actually have links that aren't working and you need them to work. |

Hi,
My worksheet has a very high number of links. Is there any other possible way by which the problem can be resolved ? -- Regards, Dharmesh "Dharmesh" wrote: I am facing a strange problem in MS EXCEL. You have to look at the references to other files yourself, so it may be time-consuming, especially if the problem is typos. If there are several links that are all to one file that has been moved or renamed, you can use the Find/Replace command to easily fix all of those links at the same time. Or the Edit Links: Change Source command would probably be faster. |

This is not always the case. Of course when there is a link that doesn't
work I would expect to receive the error message. However, I have also clicked on "Edit Links" for some files and found that the window reports that all links are "Ok."
