We are using Excel 2003 sp3 and office 2007 connect to offline cube generated
with cubeslice from SQL server Analysis 2005 sp2. The driver to connect to the offline cube from excel 2003 is Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services 9.0 OLE DB Provider. We created many pivotables from the offline cube with no major problems until we tried to group column fields in the pivot table , excel prompt an error message "Internal Error: An unexpected exception occured." However, before migrated to SQL server Analysis 2005 sp2, our previous Excel 2003 pivot table connected to offline cube generated with localcube task from cubeslice from SQL server Analysis Manager 2000 would able to perform grouping column fields in the pivot table. So far i found a similar problem encountered by some user way back 2006 at this link but no solid solutions to our problems: http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/Sho...39725&SiteID=1 It will be great i can get need help here, my apologise if my english and explanations is not good enough. -- Mplified Pte Ltd Email: Website: http://www.mplified.com Tel: (+65) 6773 1311 Fax:(+65) 6773 2331 |
