Default Indirect function in Excel 2007

Hi there,

This seems to be the group of which to ask questions since I'm a
newbie to Excel intricate formulas!

I'm trying to merge pivot table results from 3 different tabs onto one
spreadsheet. The line item names are identical for the first 3 columns
in each tab, so 'vlookup' is not an option. Further, the same tab will
contain the same line item name due to different account numbers
(don't ask!!), thus nullifying the 'getpivot' formula.

I tried the formula =INDIRECT(ADDRESS(row,column,3,1,"tab_name")).
That's works swell until a new line gets inserted into one of the
tabs. AAARRGGHHH.

Can anyone help me with a formula? I need specific row/column results,
and INDEX didn't seem to provide results.

I see from threads that =INDIRECT(ADDRESS... is not the preferred
formula.

Help? and thanks!
