Chris
I believe that the simplest method is to sort on column A after highlighting all your columns and rows containg data. I assume each column has a heading ! Again, highlight ALL your data, then - Data Subtotals and complete the boxes in the window : At each change in 'a' Use function 'sum' Add sub totals to - tick column letters that you wish to sub total Tick 'Summary below data' will give you a Grand Total Click 'OK' Hope this helps "Chris" wrote: I have a data set of 12 columns with 200 unique codes in Column A. I would like to be able to automatically create subtotals for each of the data columns sorted by Column A data. Easy to do manually but don't know how to do automatically. -- regards Chris |
