When opening a Cognos report in excel the word (grouped) appears next to the
report title. Sort option on excel is then not available. |

Are multiple sheet tabs highlighted? If so, right click on one of the
highlighted tabs and choose Ungroup "mcguigan" wrote: When opening a Cognos report in excel the word (grouped) appears next to the report title. Sort option on excel is then not available. |

And a note of caution here.......
While sheets have been "grouped", whatever you have done to one sheet will have been done to all in the "group". Best to have a close look at all sheets to see what havoc you may have wreaked. I haven't heard about this feature. What does it mean the sheets have been grouped? /Fredrik |

Select one sheet tab then hold CTRL key and select another sheet tab. Make a change on first sheet, like color a cell or three. Second sheet will have same change made. You can group all sheets by right-clickSelect All Sheets or by SHIFT + Click to select contiguous sheets. Or by the CTRL + Click to select non-contiguous sheets. Whatever method is employed, you will see [Group] up in the title bar and the grouped sheets tabs will be colored white. Very handy feature for replicating across sheets, but can get a little hairy if user forgets about it. No warning other than the [Group] and the white tabs.
