I am using xl7.0. I have located ribbon & remove duplicates, but cannot seem
to get correct result. I am using it against 6 cols of data. Is that my problem? I am sure there is something I am obviously doing wrong, but new 2 xl7.0. Data Col1 Col2 Col3 Col1_t Col2_t Col3_t 111 2654 1.1 111 2654 1.1 577 2354 90.4 689 2354 541.1 689 2354 541.1 222 2654 2.8 744 1499 31.7 Result 577 2354 90.4 222 2654 2.8 744 1499 31.7 |

I filled a 10 row by 5 column rage with numbers 1 to 20
So there were lots of duplicates. If I selected the whole range, the Remove Duplicates fond nothing but if I selected only one column all was well. it deleted dupes After experimenting, I found that if an entire row in the range was duplicated, then the tool removed it. That seems to be how it is designed to work. best wishes -- Bernard V Liengme Microsoft Excel MVP http://people.stfx.ca/bliengme remove caps from email "wonderbug" wrote in message ... This certainly gave direction. I am see duplicates removed now.
I will experiment with removing based on groups of columns. ie., col1,col2,col3 compare col4,col5,col6 - by range. Table format may work. Thank you!
