Default Edit Range of a protected worksheet

Hi
Is it possible to have a defined range to be chosen for allowing users to
edit rather than a definite range. 'Allow Users to Edit Ranges' [Tools =
Protect].
For example enter the function =indirect({Defined Name}) where the defined
name changes based on the data entry made by users. This is very useful in
the case of protected worksheets with forms to be filled up by users.

Regards

SnJ
