Default I am look for a formula to calculate a childs age in Years, mouth.

First, hold down <Ctrl, and hit the key with the <~ on it a couple of
times.
If that doesn't correct the problem, click in the "bad" cell containing the
formula, and then:
<Ctrl <Shift <~
Then hit <F2
Then hit <Enter.

The first procedure changes the WS from Normal view to Formula view and then
back again.

The second procedure re-formats the cell to General, then re-enters the
formula,
meaning that the cell was formatted as Text before you entered the formula
the first time.
