Can I assign a rank based on a cells' value
I would like to rank values in a column in the column next to it. The highest
value being 1 and then going up from there. I am not fimiliar with excel's RANK funtion. Any help you could give would be great thank you. Jay |

Assuming the values are in A1:A10, then in B1 add
=RANK($A$1:$A$10,A1) and copy down to B10. If you have equal values they will get the same rank, and the next rank is not assigned. -- HTH RP (remove nothere from the email address if mailing direct) "Jason" wrote in message ...
