Default excel 2000

When I try to save one of my excel 2000 worksheets to a cd it says it can't
do it because it's a read only. I checked and the read only boxed isn't
checked? What can I do to save the file to a cd?

You should never save to a mobile storage device. You need to copy it from
the file and paste it to your burning program and get it on the CD that way.
Once on the CD when you try to open it will be "read only" so you can not
edit it. On that end again copy it from your CD and paste it to the machine
you want to use to open it. Once on that machine you should be able to open
and edit. If there are several machines you will always want to take it off
the CD, open it, edit it, save it, then put it back on a CD. This should be
done on any mobile storage devise.
