Default Dividing hours between working weeks

I have set up a spreadsheet that produces coloured bars when a start date and
end date are entered, i.e. if I entered
start=17oct07
end=23oct07
a coloured bar is produced for two weeks (w/c 15oct07 and w/c 22oct07)

I need a formula that tells me how many hours i need to work within this
period based on the number of mandays that i enter

Eg If i need to work for 5 mandays (37.5 hrs) between the above dates, I
need a formula that tells me to work 18.75 hrs in each week. 5 mandays to
work over 5 mandays

The formula needs to be able to cope with changes in either the start and
end date or the manadays required

any suggestions?
