WHEN I COPY DATA FROM A SPECIFIC CELL IN WORKBOOK "A" TO A SPECIFIC CELL IN
WORKBOOK "B" THE COMMENTS SRE NOT TRANSFERED. HOW DO I FIX THIS? HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!! |

Firstly, please don't SHOUT. [Get your caps lock key repaired.]
Secondly, Edit/ Paste Special/ Comments will paste comments specifically, but for me (with Excel 2003) if I copy a cell and paste it into another workbook it pastes the comment too, so I don't know why you're having the problem. -- David Biddulph "BGA" wrote in message ... ![]() Thanks for your reply, caps lock now fixed! Unfortunately I am not using the cut and paste method as the formulas in workbook "B" are set to read the value of a cell in workbook "A" but still only retrieves the data and not the comments. So you're not copying as your original post stated.
Linked target cells will only return the values from source cells. Comments and formatting are not linked.
