Default SIMPLE QUESTION need fast answer please

This worksheet has 5 columns of numbers when the columns are added =sum
formula to add down it always returns on a 1 as the sum total and not add the
entire column.

What is it doing and how do I fix it. Is it something global.

Default SIMPLE QUESTION need fast answer please

Please do NOT type in all caps and please don't ask for a fast answer. All
questions get equal billing.
And, please fully describe your problem with examples.
Could it be that you have calculation set to automatic?

I don't think auto complete has anything to do with this, more likely either
calculation was set to manual under toolsoptionscalculation or the values
are/were text
