Default Cannot save shared workbook

I protected certain cell ranges with toolsprotectionallow users to edit
certain ranges and then protected the sheet. I then shared the workbook and
protected the workbook. All users have read/write permissions for the file
from the server. Users can edit the cells but cannot save the file. The
error message is "Cannot access the file at [path]. There are several
possible reasons .....

Any ideas?
