If it is always the last four numbers
=--RIGHT(A1,4) if it is what's after VC regardless of how many numbers there are =--MID(A1,FIND("VC",A1)+2,255) -- Regards, Peo Sjoblom "DestinySky" wrote in message ... ok I have 000000VC3236 in a cell.
