I don't know how to format a cell so when I enter a number it is not in a
date format. I want the number to be displayed as minutes, seconds, and 2 decimals. Thanks in advance Adam |

Go to 'Format", Cells
click on the number tab on the top Scroll down to the ' custom' selection and a dropdown box will apear on the right. select mm:ss at the bottom of the box "adam11m" wrote: I don't know how to format a cell so when I enter a number it is not in a date format. Custom format as [m]:ss.00
Select the cell in question Goto the menu FormatCellsNumber tabCustom In the little box under "Type" enter: [m]:ss.00 OK out The [ ]'s keep the minutes from rolling over after 60 into hours. -- Biff Microsoft Excel MVP "adam11m" wrote in message ...
