Default Can a date in excel be linked with outlook to serve as a reminder

If you have a column in excel with dates, is there a way that those dates can
be linked to your outlook mailbox or calendar to serve as a reminder when
something is due. OR is there any other way you can flag something in a
spreadsheet without actually reviewing the spreadsheer regulary yourself?
