Default excel worksheet functions

when i use concatenate, lookup functions i am losing the formating of my text
viz, Bold, underline or superscript. Who to preserve the formats after using
these functions

Functions return values to their calling cells, they don't include
formatting.

To do what you're looking for requires an event macro.

If you are referring to JE McGimpsey's reply (though you seem to have
replied to your own message rather than his), then you need to ensure that
you include the full url, which may have wrapped from line to line in his
message.
