Default Condtional Format Question

I have the following sheet:

Revenue Per Loan Max
410 45 410
720 100 720
10 40 40
1,020 100 1,020

Consider revenue in A1. Max is the maximum of the 2 numbers. I want to
conditional format in Excel 2007 the revenue and per loan column to highlight
the revenue # or the per loan number based on which is the higher number. So
A2, A3, B4, and A5 would be highlighted because they are the largest. I
cannot get conditional formatting to do this. Any suggestions?

Default Condtional Format Question

One way:

Select your column A and B cells, with, say, A2 the active cell.

Choose Format/Conditional Formatting...

Enter this in the dropdowns and input box:

CF1: =A2=MAX($A2:$B2)
Format1: <pattern/<color
