Default VLookup return validation list

Can VLOOKUP return a validation list that would then look up something
new?

Probably not, but maybe you are looking for a dependent DV list based on
selection from your first DV list.

i.e. first list has vegetables, fruit, dogs, cats

Second list has selections like beets, rutabagas, celery, carrots if you select
vegetables.

Or pears, apples, oranges if you select fruit.

You can then VLOOKUP on those if you like.

See Debra Dalgleish's site for how to set up multiple dependent DV lists.
