Hi Josh,
When I paste this link into internet explorer 7, the website cannot be displayed. When I diagnose it using Windows Network Diagnostics, I am getting the message that windows cannot find the host name "tex.something.com.au" using DNS "Josh Craig" wrote: Hi I'm trying to create a hyperlink to this long web address: http://tex.something.com.au/bin/texhtmlt?form=Vid.dumpall&db=daily&dodraft=1&speec h=523&activity=Questions+without+Notice&title=Tert iary+education+and+training:+skills+training&date1 =13&date2=March&date3=2007&query=true%0a%09and+%28 +data+contains+'tertiary'%0a%09and+data+contains+' education'%0a%09and+data+contains+'and'%0a%09and+d ata+contains+'training'+%29%0a%09and+%28+hdate.hda te_3+=+2007+%29%0a%09and+%28+hdate.hdate_2+contain s+'March'+%29%0a%09and+%28+hdate.hdate_1+=+13+%29% 0a and I get "#VALUE!" as the result when i choose the cell this is written in as the link location. i.e. =HYPERLINK(A1,"link") give me #VALUE!. When I try to just add this address as a hyperlink without using the function it works fine. Are there values in this string that excel won't allow or am I doing something else wrong? |
