Default if statement

Please, I have only a few hours, it is noon standard eastern time in USA.

I would like help on the following:

In column F there will be hours worked by employees, formated in number
style as -123.4, rounding the numbers to the nearest 10th. In column D there
is a total of months the employee has accumulated for accredited service.
Each year months are added as per the amount of hours.

If column F is = 1200, 12 is to be added to the total in column D, If F is
=1100, 11 months are added to the total in clolumn D, and so on.

Hi Dorothy,

FLOOR is one of the Functions in Excel. If you have only a few hours do you
want to send me a sample of your spreadsheet? As it says in my signature
just replace what is after the @ sign with my real address.

If that is not an option then:
I assumed that you had a SUM() formula in column D, something like
=SUM(B5:D5). I was suggesting that you add the FLOOR() formula after that
one like:

=SUM(B5:D5)+FLOOR(F5,100)/100

Floor rounds down, doesn't seem like that is what you want, this rounds to
the nearest 10th
=ROUND(A1,1)
They were referring to
If column F is = 1200, 12 is to be added to the total in column D, If F is
=1100, 11 months are added to the total in clolumn D, and soon.

this is basically code, post data and I can try to write you some code.

can this formula be added to a cell that already contains a numeral? The
totals from years past are already in the column and the next years total
must be added to it, as in your suggested IF statement below.

THANKS!!!!!

No you can't add a formula to a cell that has a value manually entered into
it. What you can do it if last year's total is in D5 then in another cell
you can enter:

=D5+FLOOR(F5,100)/100

which will give you the new tatal for the year.

Default if statement

=IF(G4=1200,12,IF(G4=1100,11,IF(G4=1000,10,IF(G4 =600,6,"")))) is in column
F and calculates the amount of months an employee accumulated during the
year. The number 158 is in column d, manually typed, and the result of the
above formula is to be added to 158.

I'm confused because you mentions several formulas. 1st your if F is =1200
etc would go like this:
=IF(F1=1200,D1+12,IF(F1=1100,D1+11,""))
but doesn't say what to do if not 1100+ or 1200+ so I leave it blank.

I'm not sure where your round comes in.
