I can't get custom number formatting to "take"
In Excel 2003, I'm having trouble formatting numbers in a custom format.
I've highlighted the column, clicked on Format, Cells, Number, Custom, and entered my formatting, but then when I enter numbers in the cell, the formatting isn't applied. Also, the numbers in the cell show up left-justified, as if they're text instead of numbers. I've used this in the past with no problem, and even in one column in the current worksheet. Any suggestions? -- Kurt Anderson |

Could you post exactly what in your cutom formatting

I can't get custom number formatting to "take"
I have a couple. Both are test codes: ###-####-# and ##-####-#
I'm also having trouble getting cells to display currency.
