I am required to use a spreadsheet designed by someone else, and there is one
cell that I cannot select, which means I cannot enter any data in that spot. How can I select such an unselectable cell? |

Perhaps you need to ask the author to change it.

Sounds like the sheet is protected and that one cell is locked and when protecting the sheet the designer unchecked "select locked cells". ToolsProtectionUnprotect sheet. You may have to supply a password if that's the case.
