Default Excel Error

Can any give me some pointers, i have a file thats 3,511 kb in size. 4 sheets
in use with data and formatting on all 4 sheets, i am about half way through
building this file and have come across a problem, i am trying to change the
format off some cells, i can change the formats with out a problem, but when
i click on save i get a message "Excel could not save all the data and
formatting you recently added to (filename).xls" . it has a help button but
when i click on it all i get is blank page instead of soulitions... is there
a limit to the amout of formatting that a file can hold ? is there a file
size limit in Excel.....Any ideas ??

I don't think there is any limit on file size, but even if there is you can
have a file far larger than 3,511kb. There is a limit on formats though, see
here,
