I receive in the cell the command "=VLOOKUP(A10,'hours'!A2:O151,9,false)"

The cell is formatted as Text. Use Format/Cells, change to General (or
whatever you want), then re-enter the formula (F2/Enter) "Mickey" wrote: I receive in the cell the command "=VLOOKUP(A10,'hours'!A2:O151,9,false)" instead of getting the result itself. any Idea why? |

Is the cell you have place the formula in formatted as a text cell?
If so you will have to delete the formula reformat as general (or other) replace formula Regards Dave "Mickey" wrote: I receive in the cell the command "=VLOOKUP(A10,'hours'!A2:O151,9,false)" instead of getting the result itself. any Idea why? |

Perhaps the cell was pre-formatted as Text. Re-format to General and F2 and ENTER. Gord Dibben MS Excel MVP On Wed, 1 Nov 2006 08:19:02 -0800, Mickey wrote: I receive in the cell the command "=VLOOKUP(A10,'hours'!A2:O151,9,false)" instead of getting the result itself. any Idea why? |
