Default subtotals

I have a list of data - I need to sort the list by the subtotal that is
grouped by name (at each change in col b then subtotal col a) - I then need
to sort the entire list based on that result. Help!

Default subtotals

This seemed to work for me. First subtotal your data (Data/Subtotal). Then,
collapse your outline so all you see is XX Total, YY Total, etc. Then select
your data (including the header row, but excluding the Grand Total line).
Then click Data, Sort, sort by column B, and make sure you check your list
has a header row.

Back up your data (preferably before trying <g)
